Our Future Health partners with Gather Outreach to drive public engagement in groundbreaking research

In one of the most ambitious health research programmes the UK has ever seen, we are proud to be collaborating with Our Future Health on an exciting outreach initiative aimed at encouraging public participation. Backed by the NHS, Our Future Health is working to gather vital data that will help scientists and healthcare professionals better understand and tackle a range of health issues affecting the population, such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke.  

A vital step in transforming health research 

Understanding patterns in health is crucial to preventing diseases and improving treatments. By encouraging participation from a wide range of individuals, the data collected will provide a clearer picture of the factors influencing people’s health and help shape the future of medical advancements. 

The outreach campaign 

Gather Outreach is leading the face-to-face outreach campaign, set to pilot from late January to early March in Manchester. The goal is to raise awareness and encourage members of the public to take part in routine health checks, including blood samples and blood pressure checks, and data collection, such as measurements, to support medical research. 

During this pilot phase, our team of outreach professionals will be engaging with communities to explain the benefits of joining the programme and how participation can contribute to future breakthroughs in healthcare.  

An outreach campaign that speaks to everyone 

For medical research to be truly effective, it must reflect the diversity of the population it serves. Historically, some communities have been underrepresented in health studies, which can lead to disparities in healthcare outcomes. 

This outreach campaign aims to actively engage with individuals from all backgrounds, ensuring that the data gathered is as representative as possible.
